Communication assessment for the messages you send and receive
NimbleArk is a communication assessment app.
It checks whether written communication is doing the job it is meant to do, rather than judging it only by how polished, professional or well written it appears.
You can use NimbleArk to assess something you are sending or something you have received. These are separate uses of the app. Each assessment is built around the communication in front of you, its purpose, the relevant context and whether anything material remains unclear, unanswered or unresolved.
When you are sending communication, the central question is simple: Does this do the job?
When you have received communication, NimbleArk helps establish what you are being told, what you are being asked to do, what materially matters to your concern and what remains unclear or unresolved.
NimbleArk assesses. You decide.
Better-looking communication is not necessarily better communication
Generative AI has made producing fluent, confident and professional-looking text easier than ever.
But polish is not purpose.
A response can sound complete while avoiding the central issue. An email can be grammatically correct while leaving the recipient unsure what is actually being asked. A complaint response can be detailed and professional while failing to answer the complaint. A message can contain all of the relevant information and still fail to communicate what the sender intended.
NimbleArk exists to assess that gap.
It looks beyond whether communication sounds good and examines whether it is clear, relevant, sufficiently complete, appropriately actionable and fit for the purpose the user has identified.
What is communication assessment?
Communication assessment is the process of checking whether communication is doing the job it is meant to do.
That means looking beyond spelling, grammar and tone to consider the communication itself.
Does it address the matter at hand?
Does it communicate the intended point?
Does it answer what needs to be answered?
Is the relevant information being used effectively?
Is the recipient being left to infer something important?
Does anything material remain unclear or unresolved?
NimbleArk applies that assessment to real written communication and presents the findings in a way that helps the user understand what the communication is actually doing.
Something I am sending
When you know what you want to communicate, the next question is whether the communication you have written actually carries that meaning.
NimbleArk assesses the communication against the purpose you have identified and the context needed to understand it.
The assessment can show whether the central point is clear, whether something material is missing, whether questions remain unanswered, whether the recipient is being required to infer something important and whether the communication provides enough clarity to move the matter forward.
The primary result answers: Does this do the job? The answer is Yes or No. A numerical score is shown as secondary assessment context and does not determine the Yes/No result by itself.
This is different from asking an AI to rewrite an email or make it sound more professional.
The purpose is to help the user understand their own communication before deciding what they want to send.
Something I have received
Received communication presents a different problem.
The first question is not how to rewrite it or what you should do next. It is what the communication actually shows in relation to the concern you have identified.
You tell NimbleArk what concerns you about the communication. That concern defines what the assessment should examine, but it is not treated as evidence, scored or assumed to be true. The communication you received remains the thing being assessed.
NimbleArk can help identify:
- what the communication is actually saying;
- what materially matters in relation to your concern;
- what you are being asked to do;
- what needs checking or clarifying; and
- what remains unresolved.
Supporting material can provide relevant context or evidence and may corroborate or contradict what the communication says.
Where a communication option is materially useful, NimbleArk may identify it conditionally. These options remain part of the communication assessment rather than instructions about what you should do. NimbleArk does not decide whether you should respond.
The result is an assessment of the communication you received. NimbleArk assesses. You decide.
How NimbleArk is different from a general-purpose AI tool
General-purpose AI is very good at generating and interpreting language.
NimbleArk performs a different job.
It uses artificial intelligence within a controlled communication judgement and assessment process. The communication is first considered against its purpose, context, materiality and the requirements that actually apply. It is then assessed against defined communication criteria, scoring and assessment controls.
The AI model executes that methodology. It does not independently decide what standard the communication should meet.
NimbleArk is therefore not primarily:
- a writing assistant;
- a grammar checker;
- an AI detector;
- a complaint generator;
- or a chatbot giving an open-ended opinion.
It is an assessment service.
AI assists with the process, but the user remains responsible for deciding what they mean, what they accept from the assessment and what they ultimately send or do. NimbleArk's Terms reflect that distinction directly: the service assesses communication but does not replace the user's authorship, judgement or responsibility.
Who is NimbleArk for?
NimbleArk is for people who want greater clarity around written communication.
That may mean checking an email before sending it, understanding whether a response actually answered the point, identifying what remains unresolved, or working out whether enough information has been provided to act confidently.
Individuals
In one real Sending assessment, the user had written a complaint challenging two final responses and requesting reimbursement, compensation and a consolidated investigation. The assessment concluded that the communication did the job: the purpose was clear, the disputed findings were grounded in the available evidence and the outcomes being sought were clear.
The assessment presented the result through four clear views:
- Communication Summary showed what the communication was actually saying.
- Why this does the job explained why the communication was fit for its stated purpose.
- Points for consideration identified points worth considering in relation to the purpose and context the user had identified.
- Next steps identified any practical changes the user could choose to make.
Dyspraxia and neurodivergent users
NimbleArk can help dyspraxic and neurodivergent users see more clearly whether written communication says what they intend, what is missing and what may still be left for the recipient to infer.
In documented use involving dyspraxia, professional diagnostic assessment identified difficulties including reading comprehension, processing information, organising written work and sequencing information.
In one real Sending assessment, the user had written the communication themselves and knew what they wanted to achieve. NimbleArk identified that the central request was not sufficiently clear and that important points were still being left for the recipient to infer.
The assessment was presented through a small number of clear views:
- Communication Summary showed what the communication was actually saying.
- Main Problem isolated the central issue preventing it from doing the job.
- Why this doesn't do the job explained why those gaps mattered.
- What is unclear or missing identified the points still requiring attention.
- Next steps converted the assessment into focused changes the user could choose whether to make.
Professionals
For professionals dealing with clients, customers, stakeholders, projects or other consequential correspondence, NimbleArk provides an additional assessment layer before communication is sent or acted upon.
It can help surface unresolved questions, unclear requests, assumptions, missing information and communication that appears complete without fully addressing the matter in front of it.
The purpose is not to replace professional judgement. It is to give that judgement better information to work with.
Organisations
For organisations, communication problems can create repeat contact, escalation and avoidable staff work.
In one real Received assessment, NimbleArk assessed a customer complaint containing four separate grounds against the communication itself and the supporting material provided. It separated what the organisation was being told, what it was being asked to do and which points were supported, unclear or still unresolved.
The assessment presented the result through clear views:
- Assessment of your concerns established what the supplied material did and did not support.
- What you are being asked to do isolated the actions and outcomes the customer was seeking.
- What you are being told summarised the position being put to the organisation.
- Key considerations identified the material issues requiring attention.
- Next steps identified the points that could be checked or addressed before deciding how to respond.
Escalated complaints are up 84% in 2026. See how NimbleArk can help reduce repeat contact and escalation: The Resolution
Accountability remains with the user
A central NimbleArk principle is that the technology does not own the communication.
AI can generate text, suggest wording and process information, but the person using it remains responsible for the result.
The user decides:
- what they want to communicate;
- what outcome they are trying to achieve;
- which information matters;
- whether they agree with the assessment;
- what changes they want to make;
- and what they ultimately send or do.
That principle is captured simply in:
We assess. You decide.
The purpose of the assessment is not to remove human judgement. It is to give that judgement clearer information to work with and make the user accountable for whether the communication they choose to send does the job they intend.
How has NimbleArk been tested?
NimbleArk has been tested against real-world communication rather than relying only on invented examples.
Current structured benchmark work covers 500 real-world communication cases: 250 received and 250 sent. The cases include published Ombudsman decisions across major regulated and public-service sectors, alongside public complaints and reviews.
Across 250 upheld Ombudsman rulings, NimbleArk identified the same material communication issue later cited by the Ombudsman in 64% of cases, without seeing the final outcome.
That does not mean NimbleArk predicts an Ombudsman decision or reproduces the role of an Ombudsman, regulator or professional authority.
It demonstrates that material communication issues can sometimes be identified earlier, while the person or organisation responsible for the communication still has an opportunity to address them.
NimbleArk holds your communication accountable to your own standards, giving you the chance to identify and resolve material issues earlier, before they become further correspondence, escalation or external scrutiny.
The Institute of Customer Service puts the cost of complaints to UK organisations at £7.3 billion a month. See how NimbleArk has been tested against that problem: The Resolution
Data minimisation is built into the way NimbleArk is used
NimbleArk does not need to know who a person is in order to assess whether their communication does the job.
Do not provide NimbleArk with personal, identifying or sensitive information.
Replace names and other identifiers with role descriptions such as “customer”, “employee”, “parent”, “pupil” or “organisation”, and remove unnecessary contact details, account or reference numbers, financial information and other sensitive information.
Where communication concerns health, disability, safeguarding or another sensitive subject, anonymise the material before submitting it.
For uploaded documents, NimbleArk extracts the text required for assessment in the browser. The original uploaded document is not stored in NimbleArk's server-side assessment history. The extracted text is processed separately and may be saved as part of an assessment depending on the user's account and storage settings.
What NimbleArk does not do
NimbleArk assesses communication.
- It does not determine whether an allegation is factually correct simply because somebody has stated it.
- It does not decide whether something is lawful, clinically appropriate or professionally correct.
- It does not replace legal, medical, financial, safeguarding, regulatory or other professional advice.
- It does not guarantee how another individual, organisation, regulator, Ombudsman, court or decision-maker will respond.
And it does not take responsibility for the communication away from the person using it.
The assessment is there to help the user understand the communication more clearly and make their own decision.
